Abhijit Dabhade is an Education Management Consultant with international business exposure based in Mumbai, India. He comes with 14 plus years of strong experience in sales, marketing and operations management. A proven leader who is known for innovative and on-ground tactical acumen he has led several management roles successfully across leading education brands. Abhijit’s expertise includes various aspects of education management – Business Development – (student acquisition),Channel Development and Channel Management (alliances and franchise development), Educational Marketing (ATL, BTL and digital campaigns), Education PR and overall Operations Management (Profit and Loss Head).
He started his education career as a Marketing Manager with IMS Learning Resources – the leaders in management entrance training and consulting and then was promoted as Product Manager for International Education. He built a channel of IMS IELTS training partners nationally to grow the business manifold. Subsequently, he went on to work with Pearson International – world’s largest education company and was part of the 30 member global team that successfully launched the Pearson Test of English (PTE – A) – An alternative to IELTS and TOEFL. He then entered the K – 12 segment as the Business Head of COCO division of EuroKids – the leaders in pre-schooling in the Indian sub-continent and transformed the loss making COCO division into a profitable vertical in two financial years.
Abhijit then worked as GM of Business Development and CRM at VIBYOR HIGH – a chain of premium International Schools. during his tenure there he launched two schools successfully and introduced several innovative sales and marketing initiatives to cross the national figure to over 25000 students enrolled in the entire chain.
Besides working with the above mentioned Edu-corporates Abhijit has been passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with the budding media and management professionals. He has been a regular faculty of media, advertising, sales and marketing management at leading institutions such as XIC, SIMS, SP Jain, EMDI, Vivekanand, etc. besides being on the selection and guidance panel of Chetana and Sinhagad Institutes of Management.
Educationally, he is a double Post Graduate in Sales and Marketing ( Tack Training International, U.K) as well as Masters in Communication Studies from the Department of Communication Studies, University of Pune. Additionally he also holds professional certificate in Business English and Communication from the University of Cambridge, U.K. and Proficiency certificate in Emotional Intelligence conferred by PMI, India.
