For India to become a Sporting superpower and achieve laurels at international sporting events – focusing on athletes alone won’t bring success.  The overall sporting ecosystem needs to be boosted with well-equipped functional domain experts at both ends i.e for athletes’ performance enhancement and back end operation and management. Sports Science along with Sports management need to get due focus.

There is an increasing demand for exercise and sports scientists in India currently.
